Après-Flea
13 finds from my daily vintage deep-dive
If you know me, then you know I love to thrift. The thrill of the hunt… well, it thrills me. I’ve loved shopping secondhand as long as I can remember. I have very vivid memories of frequenting the local Goodwill with my BFF in middle school, picking up (probably way too many) graphic tees on any given day.
I also used to be an account manager for a company that took me to lots of small-town Texas schools and churches. I would purposefully take the Main Street route home so I could pop into the local antique stores. Don’t tell my boss.
I get the thrifting gene from my mom, I’m sure of it. She could spend days in a vintage store, scouring every inch of it for the perfect rug or vase. Thanks, mom.
In my free time, you can find me going down an eBay rabbit hole, scouring Facebook Marketplace, or possibly hitting the local antique store with my 85-year-old neighbor. Today, it was morning coffee with a side of Chairish.
Since I’m spending so much time finding great pieces for my hypothetical (38277182419-square-foot, apparently) home, I figured I’d share the love with y’all in case you’re in the market for some treasures. I’ve tried to keep the finds in the ballpark of what I’ve actually been willing to spend myself — no one’s trying to break the bank over here.
Without further ado, grab a cold beverage and let’s get into a little “Après-Flea.” 13 items that I sincerely can’t stop thinking about.
This vase needs next to no explanation as to why it’s on the list. I audibly gasped. I think I might buy this one unless one you buys it first!!!!!!! Literal perfection. The color is excellent.
The color of the paper is doing all the heavy lifting here. The perfect subtle pop of color in an otherwise neutral room? Divine. I see it framed out in maybe a burl wood frame, or perhaps a silver one. Such a stunning piece. And only $18 allows for a bit of budget for a nice frame!
I’m a sucker for patina like this. Lately I’ve been obsessed with turquoise, and I think I might need this in our bedroom. The base is also perfection.
I’m dying for one of these in the center of our dining table. C’est très élégant.
A HENNA LAMP. Love this in a more feminine-leaning space. It’s all about contrast people!!!
I’m almost always going to stop scrolling for something with these brown + black tones together. I love it. This art is so stunning, no notes here.
This is still pricey, but considering it used to be listed for $1,500 makes the price feel way less shocking. The perfect pop of color and I love that it’s a smaller scale.
I’ve never been much of a nautical decor girl, but now we’re living a stones throw away from the beach and I can’t help myself. Also my daughters love all things seashell/ocean adjacent and it’s rubbing off on me.
Blue and white everything. That’s it.
This is so fabulous, another case with a scroll-stopping silouhette.
Love the idea of this in a bathroom for a hand towel, or even in a bedroom with a gorgeous bag or dress hanging on it. I love using non-decor items as decor. Let the beautiful dress decorate your wall! Get a beautiful hook for the beautiful dress!
Give me any and all vintage Italian ceramic things. I love plates/bowls/platters mounted on walls. This one belongs on a wall, k?
