Last week I had the joy of attending Playtime & Kids Hub New York — a trade show that brings together a curated lineup of independent designers and international labels, all serving the pint-sized style set. I went in not knowing what to expect and left wondering if my girls would let me borrow their clothes.

It was really inspiring — not just because there are so many cool, considered pieces being made for kids right now, but because I got to meet the people behind the brands. Founders, designers, and lots of fellow moms doing very cool things. It reminded me how much creativity is out there, quietly thriving in this space.

I previewed collections from brands you already know and love, plus some new names that deserve a spot on your radar. Kids today are honestly dressing better than I ever did (or do, let’s be real) —and I’m not above taking notes from them.

Here are thirteen standouts I can’t stop thinking about.
